The Turkish port of Gemlik received 2,945 ships in the first 10 months of 2021, Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
According to the ministry, of the ships accepted by the Gemlik port, 797 flew the flag of Turkey, and 2,148 - the flags of other countries.
In October 2021, Turkish ports received 4,365 ships. Of the total number of ships accepted by the ports, 1,247 flew the flag of Turkey, and 3,119 - the flags of other countries.
The ministry also said that the ports of Turkey in 10M2021 totally received 42 690 ships, of which 12,762 flew the flag of Turkey.
The rest 29,928 ships were flying the flags of other countries, added the ministry.
