Azerbaijan produced 1,510 cars between January and July 2014, which is 4.6 times more than the figures for the same period of 2013, according to Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report on seven months of 2014.
In 2013, the country produced 424 cars, or 21.8 percent less than in 2012.
Throughout this period, Azerbaijan produced 159 trucks, which is 8.2 percent more than in the same period of last year, according to the report.
In 2013, Azerbaijan produced 246 trucks, or 52.8 percent more than in 2012.
Aside from that, between January and July 2014, the country produced 709 tractors, which is 70.8 percent more than in the same period of 2013.
In 2013, the country produced 739 tractors. This figure is 19.6 percent more than in 2012.
Azerbaijan has two factories producing motor vehicles - the Nakhchivan and Ganja automobile plants.
