Tbilisi City Court ordered a hearing on the merits of the case of termination of citizenship of billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is in opposition to the authorities of Georgia, and his wife Catherine Khvedelidze on 12 December at 14.00 local time.
The announcement was made after the completion of the preparatory meeting of the court, which was held on December 5, at the 45th day after making a court claim with a request for invalidation of the relevant instructions of President of Georgia on the withdrawal of Ivanishvili's citizenship.
At the preparatory meeting, the plaintiff made a motion that the defendant was represented by only the presidential administration, as they say, "the person making the decision do not meet the law," and together with the fact that this status has not been submitted to the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice, with which the judge agreed, but left the agency representatives in the status of mandatory third party.
It should be noted that on Sunday Ivanishvili established "Georgia Dream" social movement. According to Georgian legislation, he had a right, but the creation of the party, which will then participate in the parliamentary elections of 2012, without the Georgian passport impossible.
