Iran's presidential hopeful Ali Akbar Velayati said that the Principlist group known as the 2-plus-one coalition has a new type of campaigning on the agenda, the Mehr News Agency reported.

Velayati, who's currently a senior advisor to the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution said that all three coalition members will register for the June 14 polls.

But he says the three will not be competing against each other, instead they'll support one another like the three sides of a triangle.

Velayati went on to note that a panel debate may be held where each of the three individuals will speak about their area of expertise.

He said that this arrangement is a new type of campaigning.

The 2-plus-1 coalition includes Velayati, M-P Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel and Tehran mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
