Pensions and benefits increased in Georgia from September 1. The minimum old age pension increased by 125 lari to 150 lari ($1=1.66 lari) per month. Around 681392 people in the country fall under this category.
Disability pension increased from 125 lari to 150 lari and the limited capability pension from 70 lari to 100 lari per month, the agency said.
Children with limited capabilities in Georgia will receive benefits of 100 lari per month (previously 70 lari) and social benefits for those who lost breadwinners will increase from 55 lari to 100 lari per month.
Social benefits for the victims of political repressions will increase from 62 lari to 107 lari per month.
Government compensation and bonuses in Georgia will increase from 272 lari to 292 lari per month.
