Azerbaijani postal operator promotes e-trade development

Azerbaijani postal operator Azerpoct plans to begin rendering e-commerce services soon, the operator told Trend today.

Opportunities in this direction are being considered by the postal operator as the prospect of developing postal services, promoting e-commerce and Internet entrepreneurship. This will increase the flow of money transfers and postings.

Having a wide network of offices and a developed system of money transfers, Azerpost plans to attract a large number of users who previously could not use e-commerce services. The range of services offered by the postal operator in the field of e-commerce will increase.

At present, Azerpost's postal express service Azerexpresspost renders mediation services of delivering Internet purchases on the basis of a door-to-door principle.

The purchase delivery service is carried out using EMS Azerexpresspost. The goods purchased via a number of online resources (ebay.com, amazon.com, alibaba.com, aliexpress.com, boxfromdubai.com bay.ru, etc.) are delivered using the organisation. The EMS service was established by the Universal Postal Union in 1990 and based in 190 countries.
