The U.S company Symantec has been involved in the project of creating the National Information Security Center in Azerbaijan, a source close to the project told Trend on Wednesday.
One of components of the project is to use the Symantec Security Information Manager solution (SSIM) in the information centre of the Ministry.
The system allows monitoring and analyzing all the processes in the network, making quick decisions to curb the negative aspects. SSIM can document all the events and store them for several years.
The ministry made the first step - monitoring. The next stage of the project is to expand the system by adding the proactive protection.
At present, IT-specialists of the ministry are studying to work with the SSIM.
