A second trilateral ministerial meeting started in Batumi. Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian Foreign Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov, Ahmet Davutoglu and Maya Panjikidze attended.
The meeting is being held in the Sheraton Hotel and will last about an hour and is on the basis of a declaration dated June 8, 2012, which was adopted in the Turkish city of Trabzon.
This declaration reflects the most important areas of mutual cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey in such areas as the economy, energy, infrastructure, transport, culture and humanitarian.
The ministers of the three countries will adopt a plan of action in Batumi for 2013-2015. This has been worked out by the relevant departments and envisages implementing specific projects and initiatives.
Foreign ministers of three countries will sign the final protocol and hold a joint briefing following the meeting.
Another trilateral ministerial meeting will be held in Azerbaijan presumably in the second half of 2013.
