BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. Following the instructions of First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a special plane with humanitarian aid from the Foundation for victims of the earthquake, which caused numerous human casualties and destruction in the fraternal country, has already taken off for Gaziantep Airport in Türkiye.

After medical supplies and equipment sent to Türkiye, as well as warm clothes and other necessities, were packed by the staff of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the humanitarian cargo was delivered to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport and loaded onto the plane.

Elvin Aslanov, a representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, told reporters at the airport that the foundation's employees sent to the earthquake zone will deliver humanitarian aid to the disaster areas of Türkiye.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has sent 36 tons of humanitarian aid to people affected by the earthquake, including medicines, oxygen masks, water filtration systems, dressings, other medical supplies and equipment, warm clothes, and tents.

At the same time, the "Regional Development" Public Union of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation launched a humanitarian aid campaign in support of fraternal Türkiye, responding to the appeal of the Turkish Embassy in Baku to the citizens of Azerbaijan to provide humanitarian assistance to the regions in the disaster zone. The campaign will last until February 14.

During the campaign, the volunteers of the "Regional Development" Public Union will accept essential items from citizens for victims of the devastating earthquake and, after packing, will deliver humanitarian cargo to the fraternal country in the near future.
