The Heydar Aliyev Foundation hosted the first meeting of the Organizing Committee for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku on July 4.
Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mehriban Aliyeva stated that great tasks and objectives have been set to conduct the contest at the highest level.
Azerbaijan's First Lady said not so much time has left to the contest and mentioned the need to define the main directions to implement the most important actions at the first meeting.
Mrs. Aliyeva said that the proposals on the venue of the competition are under consideration, and a decision will be made on this in the near future.
The meeting focused on preparations to conduct Eurovision-2012 song contest at a high level and other issues.
