PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVED CREDENTIALS FROM NEW AMBASSADORS

President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev received on 27 June credentials from newly appointed Ambassadors of Korea, Ireland, Zambia, Sudan, Moldova, North Korea, Australia, Guinea and Kuwait.

The head of the state congratulated the diplomats with their appointment and wished them success in their future combined mission in Azerbaijan, Trend reports. He said, with the countries, the diplomats represent, Azerbaijan has close relations and the country is very much interested in their further development and expansion. I am confident your mission will be successful and our bilateral relations will be developing rapidly, he added.

Aliyev also stated, that the foreign policy of Aserbaijan is directed to the establishment of peace and stability in the world and the country is interested in mutually beneficial relations with all states. He voiced regret, that at the result of the ethnic cleansings from Armenia towards Azerbaijanis and the policy of aggression, 20% of the Azerbaijani territory are occupied and there are over 1 million refugees in the country. Aliyev expressed hope, that the world public will continue efforts for the quickest peaceful, fair settlement of the Upper Karabakh conflict.
