Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov is likely to pay a visit to Tajikistan March 18-19.
Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon suggested the date of visit in a letter to his Turkmen counterpart, an official Turkmen source reported.
"Given the need to exchange views on the conceptual aspects of future cooperation between our countries...it gives me pleasure to invite you, dear Gurbangulu Malikgulievich, to visit Tajikistan March 18-19, 2010," the letter reads.
The letter also expressed confidence that "the results of the [upcoming] visit to Tajikistan will give new impetus to relations between the two countries and contribute to further consolidation of our efforts to foster peace, stability and good neighborly relations in the region."
