Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov approved Nushiravan Safarov as the new head of the Baku State Road Police Department, the department's spokesman Jamshid Hanifeyev told Trend today.
Safarov is expected to be introduced as the new head to the department's staff this week, he said.
Previously Safarov headed the Interior Ministry's Chief Road Police Department's Traffic nad Patrol Police Service. In his new post, Safarov will replace Hasan Shirinov.
