Uzbekistan, Tashkent, June 4 / Trend D.Azizov /
An Uzbek-Vietnamese intergovernmental agreement on a visa-free regime for diplomatic passport holders came into force Friday, the Uzbek government reported.
The agreement was signed during Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai's visit to Tashkent in early April.
Based on the document, Uzbek and Vietnamese citizens with diplomatic passports are exempted from having to receive visas to enter or leave the countries, and may stay for under 60 days.
Uzbekistan and Vietnam have signed 10 intergovernmental agreements regulating bilateral ties in trade, investment, taxation, aviation, tourism, science and technology.
