Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The 12th annual international conference of International Prosecutor Association took place in Hong Kong.
The event included 500 representatives from 100 countries, as well as senior functionaries of prosecutor's offices, justice organizations, and other law enforcement bodies, Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation headed by Justice Minister, Fikrat Mammadov.
Discussed at the conference were relationships between courts, prosecutors' offices, police on one side with media and the public on the other side, the status of the participants of trials and other actual topics.
Elections to the Executive Committee were held at the meeting of the Association. The Azerbaijani Justice Minister was re-elected to the Committee.
Within the framework of the visit the Azerbaijani delegation became familiar with the activities of local courts, showed interest in the most modern technologies applied in trials and held a fruitful exchange of views.
Meetings with Hong Kong's Justice Minister, the Prosecutor-General and the law enforcement heads from various countries were held during the visit. Prospects of cooperation were discussed.
