(telegraph.co.uk) - Britain's self-styled queen Kate Moss has been knocked off the top of a best-dressed list by model of the year Agyness Deyn.
Moss, 34, had taken out the best-dressed crown for the last two years with her chic individual style. But the up-and-coming Deyn, 25, was awarded the top spot in Tatler magazine's annual list this year.
Tory leader David Cameron's wife, Samantha, was also in the top 10 for being "consistently chic and never flash". The magazine said: "She brings some much-needed glamour to the Tory Wives Club."
Actress Keira Knightley was fourth, for being a "red carpet style icon" who creates a "grungy but clean" look during the day.
Anouck Lepere, the Belgian model girlfriend of Moss's ex, Jefferson Hack, was sixth on the list.
Alexa Chung, the girlfriend of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and presenter of T4, was 10th. Tatler says she is often "seen in a navy children's princess coat with a velvet collar which cost a tenner in Brick Lane".
Longtime face of Burberry, Moss was replaces this year by Deyn, who used to work in a fast-food outlet.
Tatler says: "Whether she's sipping chai at the Russian Tea Rooms in Primrose Hill or kicking back at Henry Holland's studio, She's fash-fabulous... Rockin."
While Deyn may be the new it girl, Tatler says Moss's style has influenced women for years, and earned her second place on the list. "If she wears it, the rest of the world follows suit," it says.
"She has proven her designer credentials with her sell-out Topshop clothing range."
Moss was once photographed leaving a Victoria and Albert Museum party with her vintage dress tied up after it had been ripped. Tatler said: "Who else could look so effortlessly cool in a ripped gown at a V& A couture ball afterparty? Or black latex leggings? ... It's fashion nirvana."
