Azerbaijan, Baku/ Тrend corr Z. Safarov / Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garayeva took the sixth place in the final games in the hoop competition at the World Student Games in Bangkok.
Garayeva scored 16.250 points, owing to which she left behind Aliya Yusupova from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijani Anna Gurbanova. The first place was given to Ukrainian Anna Bessonova (that is her third gold medal in the championships), the second to Russian Olga Kapranova, who was the absolute winner of the 2005 World Championships, and third to Belarusian Inna Zhukova.
Azerbaijani gymnasts were not among competitors in the club match, but they have a chance to compete in the ribbon category.
