Azerbaijan notably increased the chemical production in January 2022, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the report, the production volume reached nearly 48,438 tons (up by 26,278 tons or more than two times on annual basis) and the value - $41.2 million, which is growth of 18.4 million manat or $10.8 million (81.15 percent) year on year.
Besides, according to the SCC, in the first month of this year, 15,427 tons of polyethylene were produced in the country, which is a growth of 5,193 tons (33.66 percent) on annual basis, and polypropylene production rose by 3,007 tons (31.62 percent) - up to 6,500 tons.
Meanwhile, the volume of production of nitrogen fertilizers equaled 21,199 tons, thus growing by 14,990 tons (over three times) compared to January 2021.
