BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Payments through Apple Pay can be made without any restrictions in Azerbaijan, Musa Jumayev, an expert of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, told Trend.
According to Jumayev, unlike Android, Apple Pay doesn’t envisage any amount limits for payments using NFC technology.
“Furthermore, Apple Pay has reduced security risks because every transaction, irrespective of the amount, requires Face ID, Touch ID or a device password as an initial security measure,” added the expert.
The Apple Pay contactless payment solution was launched on iOS devices and Apple Watches by a number of Azerbaijani banks in November 2021, with the support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
