BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Azerbaijan's non-oil industry will grow by an average of 8.3 percent from 2022 through 2026 year-on-year, while the share of industrial zones in the mentioned sector will account for 15 percent, and in exports – 25 percent, Trend reports.

This is stated in the "Socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026".

"The average growth of over ten percent is expected in information and communication, whereas three percent – in the construction sector. The annual growth rate in the transport sector will exceed five percent. The value added in tourist accommodation and catering will increase by 1.5 times by 2026 compared to 2019," the document said.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, the country's GDP reached 63.36 billion manat ($37.27 billion), up by 6.2 percent from January through June 2022 compared to the same period of 2021. Out of the total GDP, 53.3 percent falls on industry, 7.7 percent – on trade and repair of vehicles, 5.8 percent – on transport and warehousing, 3.8 percent – on construction, 4.7 percent – on agriculture, forestry and fish farming, 1.3 percent – on information and communication, and 1.3 percent – on tourism.

Moreover, 14.5 percent of GDP fell on the share of other economic sectors.
