BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. Turkish ports handled 19.7 million tons of cargo from Italy from January through October 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, ships under the Turkish flag delivered 6 million tons of cargo from Italy to local ports, and ships under the flags of other countries - 13.1 million tons.
During the mentioned period, 576,273 tons of cargo were delivered to Turkish ports by Italian-flagged ships.
In the reporting period, Turkish ports handled over 30.2 million tons of transit cargo from Italy.
Turkish ports totally transshipped over 34.2 million tons of cargo in October 2022.
During the mentioned period, ships flying the flag of Turkiye delivered 2.4 million tons of cargo, and ships flying the flags of other countries – 31.7 million tons of cargo to the ports.
Turkish ports in total transhipped 6.3 million tons of cargo in October 2022.
A total of 330 million tons of cargo were transshipped through Turkish ports from January through October 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkiye in the specified period totaled 330 million tons.
A total of 23.7 million tons of cargo were transshipped by the vessels flying Turkish flags through local ports.
The cargo transshipped by ships flying the flags of other countries through the ports of Turkiye totaled 307 million tons.
In addition, Turkish ports handled more than 66 million tons of transit cargo.
