Türkiye discloses number of apartments purchased by Azerbaijani citizens

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Azerbaijani citizens purchased 138 apartments in Türkiye from January through February 2023, which is 44 apartments less than in the same period last year, the Turkish State Authority on Land Cadastre and Real Estate Purchase and Sale, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.

"Azerbaijani citizens purchased 73 apartments in Türkiye in February, which is 20 apartments less than in the same month of 2022," the report says.

Meanwhile, 80,031 apartments were purchased in Türkiye in February 2023, which is 18 percent less than in February 2022.

According to the information, from January through February 2023, 179,739 apartments were purchased in Türkiye, which is 4.4 percent lower than in the same period of 2022.

Furthermore, 3,350 apartments were sold to foreign citizens in Türkiye in February 2023, which is 27 percent less than in the same period of 2022.

During the reporting period, foreigners bought apartments mainly in Antalya. So, in Antalya, the number of apartments sold to foreigners was 1,261, in Istanbul – 1,133, in Mersin - 225.

Among foreigners who have bought apartments in Türkiye, Russians are in the lead – 1,183 people, followed by citizens of Iran (446), Iraq (173) and Ukraine (142).
