BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 23. Azerbaijan recorded an increase in livestock production from January through February 2023, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture told Trend.
According to the ministry, growth in meat production (in live weight) in the country amounted to 2.8 percent, or 90,400 tons.
"In addition, the egg production increased by 16.1 percent and amounted to 355.6 million, while milk production increased by 1.1 percent, to 322,300 tons. In the reporting period, the livestock production in value terms increased by 3.4 percent, to 849.2 million manat ($499.5 million)," the ministry said.
During the reporting period, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan at current prices amounted to 895.6 million manat ($526.8 million), which is 3.3 percent more than in 2022.
