Republican Hygiene Centre to Inspect Farms in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The Republican Hygiene and Epidemiology Centre will begin special inspections of farms in October after the fall bird migration.

Imran Abdullayev, the chief of the Hygiene Centre, said that the aim of the inspections is to study farm conditions.

If shortcomings are discovered on farms, administrative measures will be undertaken by the representatives of the Centre, including fining and closing of the farm.

Presently, the sale of chicken is prohibited in Azerbaijan, Abdullayev said.
