As of July 1, 2017, bank reserves totaled 3.14 billion manats in Azerbaijan, increasing by 56.2 percent (2.01 billion manats) as compared to June 2016.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), as of late June 2017, the expanded monetary base amounted to 10.53 billion manats in the country (an increase by 26.3 percent as compared to the same period of 2016). This figure was 8.34 billion manats as of June 2016.
As of July 1, 2017, monetary base totaled 8.27 billion manats compared in Azerbaijan as compared to 7.69 billion manats in early July 2016.
During the period, the amount of cash in circulation was 7.35 billion manats, while this figure was 6.31 billion manats as of July 1, 2016.
The ratio of cash in circulation to monetary base as of July 1, 2017 amounted to 69.9 percent, decreasing by 5.7 percentage points compared to late June 2016.
