In January 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from India and Pakistan through Turkish ports amounted to 189,700 tons, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Feb. 27.
In January 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Pakistan through Turkish ports amounted to 5,100 tons.
“In January 2019, the cargo transshipment from Pakistan was carried out by vessels flying flags of other countries,” the ministry said.
In January 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from India through the ports of Turkey amounted to 184,600 tons, and the transshipment was carried out by ships sailing under flags of other countries.
In January 2019, a total of 3,825 ships arrived at Turkish ports.
During the period, 1,311 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 2,514 vessels flying flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
Gross register tonnage of all vessels for this period amounted to 62.633 million tons.
Gross register tonnage of vessels that arrived at Turkish ports flying the flag of Turkey amounted to 8.976 million tons, while gross register tonnage of vessels flying flags of other countries amounted to 53.657 million tons.
