Volume of wholesale trade in Uzbekistan amounts to over $ 2 billion

In 1Q2019, the volume of wholesale trade in Uzbekistan reached 20,008 trillion soums ($2.367 billion) and increased by 8.6 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The statistical data show that the turnover of wholesale trade of small businesses reached 13,274 trillion soums and increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

The share of this sector in the country's wholesale trade turnover is 66.3 percent. This indicator, in comparison with other regions, was higher in the city of Tashkent (78.9 percent), Fergana (73.4 percent) and Bukhara (71.0 percent) regions.

In the structure of the wholesale trade turnover, the share of commodity turnover of large enterprises amounted to 33.7 percent of total sales, while their main share was observed in Navoi (64.5 percent) and Tashkent (60.4 percent) regions.

The turnover of wholesale in January-April of this year amounted to 20,008 trillion soums, including non-state subjects (19, 984 trillion soums) and subjects of state subordination (23.7 billion soums).

The largest share in wholesale turnover falls on the city of Tashkent (45.6 percent), Tashkent (10.2 percent), Samarkand (8.2 percent) and Fergana (5.8 percent) regions.

The lowest growth rates in this regard, compared to last year, were observed in Bukhara (92.7 percent), Tashkent (99.3 percent) and Kashkadarya (102.9 percent) regions, as well as in the city of Tashkent (106, 4 percent).
