NIOPDC recommends Iranians to take necessary measures on the eve of new fuel system

National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) recommended citizens to refuel their cars at least once with their fuel card by the end of July.

Due to the implementation of the government and parliament resolutions on using the smart fuel card from August 10, the Public Relations Department of the company asked Iranians to use their fuel cards in order to ensure the accuracy of Fuel card performance, Trend reports citing official website of NIOPC.

“Owners of all cars and motorcycles have to use their own fuel card at least once before the end of July,” NIOPDC announced.

Refuel personal cars at the petrol station by fuel cards will commence on August 10; however, there is no change in the price of gasoline yet.

The price of gasoline in Iran is $0.23 per liter. Price is set to to control the slope of gasoline consumption in the country and prevent smuggling of fuel to neighboring countries.

Last winter, National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company called on people to take fuel card and announced that the bank cards could be considered as a fuel card too.
