In the six months of 2019 (January-June), 713,011 flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 2.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
During this period, there were 403,396 domestic flights and 309,615 international flights.
“In January-June, the number of domestic flights decreased by 8.9 percent, while the number of international flights increased by 7.5 percent,” the ministry said.
During the reporting period, a total of 247,501 flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
