Companies of Kazakhstan and Greece agree on JV co-op

Kazakhstan’s BI Group purchased 50 percent of SemArco LLP within the agreement with Archirodon construction company of Greece, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

Thus, 50 percent of the shares of SemArco LLP were left in the possession of Archirodon.

The main areas of joint venture’s activities are realization of projects in oil and gas, petrochemical industries, heavy industry, energy. The company is planning to work in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine.

“The goal of the partnership is to create competitive Kazakh player, who will be able to work on market of both Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, as well as provide customers with best offers,” said Askhat Omarov, Chairman of the Management Board of BI Group.

Heads of the companies highlighted their firm belief that certain types of activities and geography aspects create significant potential for the growth of the players. The also confirmed their intentions to increase the quality of customer service and social orientation of activity.

Archirodon is a diversified company established in 1959 that provides services relating to the construction and maintenance of maritime infrastructure and other construction works on an international basis.

BI Group is a major diversified holding, which implements activities in different spheres of construction, development and engineering.
