In January-June 2019, the trade turnover of Turkey with the member countries of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) decreased by $2 billion compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $24.4 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Trade Ministry.
According to the ministry, in January-June 2019, Turkey's exports to the BSEC countries amounted to $8.9 billion, which is 3.2 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
Turkey's imports from the BSEC countries in January-June 2019 amounted to $15.5 billion, which is 11.2 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
In June 2019, the trade turnover of Turkey with the countries of the BSEC amounted to $3.4 billion. "Turkish exports to the BSEC countries amounted to $1.2 billion, while imports from these countries equaled to $ 2.2 billion," the ministry said.
In June 2019, Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $26 billion.
In June 2019, Turkish exports decreased by 14.3 percent compared to the same month last year, and reached $11.8 billion. Imports in June 2019 decreased by 22.7 percent compared to June 2018, and reached $14.2 billion.
