From January through November 2019, Georgia imported petroleum coke, petroleum bitumen and other petroleum products in the amount of $47.4 million from Iran, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistical Office (Geostat).
During the reporting period, Georgia imported from Iran ceramic tiles worth $18.4 million, ethylene polymer worth $10.9 million, pipes and profiles from ferrous metals worth $9.7 million.
Georgia also imported from Iran heat-polished glass and polished glass, dioxide steel rods, sodium hydroxides and peroxides, and copper wires.
Over the reported period, exports from Georgia to Iran amounted to $67 million, and the largest share accounted on ferroalloys worth $13 million and meat worth $12 million.
According to the official statistics, the trade turnover between Georgia and Iran in 2018 increased by 38.7 percent year-on-year and amounted to $251.9 million.
