Iran reveals volume of transits via Dogharoun border customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26

More than 128,300 tons of various products were transited to Afghanistan by 5,730 trucks via the Dogharoun border customs of the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), director of Dogharuon border terminal Karim Navaie Nezami told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Navaie Nezami, 640,200 tons of products were transited through the customs to Afghanistan by 25,600 trucks in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

“In addition, 14,500 tons of various products entered to Iran 's Dogharuon border customs from Afghanistan by 610 trucks and were transited through the customs to Asia and Europe countries,” he added.

The director stressed that 187,800 tons of various products were exported to Afghanistan through the Dogar border customs during 4 months by 7,630 trucks.

“The exported products to Afghanistan were mainly, construction materials, fittings, gasoline, liquefied gas and etc.” he noted.

Navaie Nezami said that Dogharoun border customs has 9 percent share in Iran's exports.
