Georgia sells mineral licenses as part of “100 Investment Offers to Business” government program

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5

Georgian Government has already sold 48 mineral licenses out of 100 ones as part of “The 100 Investment Offers to Business” government program, Trend reports via the Ministry of the economy, and sustainable development of Georgia.

According to the ministry, the total value of the sold mineral licenses is 3.5 million lari ($1.06 million).

The economy ministry expects investors to employ 1,086 citizens and invest an additional 20 million lari ($6.08 million) in various projects.

As reported, the companies will obtain poly metals as part of the sold licenses, as well as chemical raw materials, construction materials, and underground waters.

The economy ministry provides a constant working process for developing new investment packages. On the whole, the government has sold 87 assets as part of the state privatization program.
