The value of industrial goods and services in Baku amounted to 27 billion manat (over $15.9 billion) from January through November of 2020, a decrease of 9 million manat ($5.3 million) compared to the same period last year, Trend reports on Jan.12, citing the Baku City Statistical Department.
According to the report, 73.9 percent of industrial output was manufactured in the extractive industry, 23.2 percent in the processing sector, 2.1 percent in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.8 percent in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling.
The share of the non-state sector in the industry was 78.7 percent. The share of industrial products in total production was 85.4 percent, and industrial services-14.6 percent.
As of December 1, 2020, the warehouses of industrial enterprises have a stock of finished products in the amount of 289 million manat (over $170 million). Most of the manufactured products, taking into account the reserves created in previous periods, were sent to consumers.
The warehouses of industrial enterprises also store products purchased from other enterprises and intended for resale in the amount of 86.5 million manat ($50.9 million).
In 2019, the volume of industrial goods and services in Baku increased by 0.7 percent compared to 2018 and amounted to 39.7 billion manat ($23.3 billion).
