The export of goods from Azerbaijan to Switzerland in total terms amounted to $201.3 million in early December 2020, which shows an increase of 22.7 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Switzerland's share in Azerbaijan's total export reached 1.54 percent compared to 0.9 percent in 2019.
However, by early December 2020, the import of Swiss products to Azerbaijan amounted to $74.4 million while Switzerland's share in total import of Azerbaijan decreased by 9.07 percentage points for the year, amounting to 0.77 percent of the total volume.
The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries amounted to $275.7 million, while the balance of foreign trade between Azerbaijan and Switzerland became positive over the reporting period, amounting to $126.9 million.
In general, by early December 2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $22.7 billion, which in turn is 25.9 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
