Uzbekistan attracts S.Korean specialists to get tech assistance in textile enterprises

KIAT (South Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology) and Uztekstilprom Association discussed issues of technical assistance in textile enterprises, Trend reports referring to the Uztekstilprom Association.

According to the resolution of the president of Uzbekistan on measures to organize a practical training textile technology park at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry with the involvement of gratuitous assistance from the government of South Korea, work is underway to attract S.Korean specialists to the work of the textile technology park.

In January 2021, KIAT, South Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, and Uztekstilprom Association signed a Memorandum on attracting Korean specialists to the work of the Textile Technology park, assistance in solving production and technical processes, advanced training and marketing of enterprises within the framework of the TASK Program.

The TASK program involves the transfer of the most modern knowledge and technological know-how in the textile industry with the constant participation of Korean specialists.

Thus, a videoconference was held on February 3, 2021 with the participation of the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH), the Uztekstilprom Association and industry enterprises within the signed memorandum.

It is reported that the issues of technical assistance for the enterprises of the industry were studied during the meeting, namely the training of personnel - technologists, mechanics of garment production, increasing the efficiency of the production process, designing sketches, design, process management and marketing activities at enterprises, etc.

In addition, the S.Korean side proposed to conduct a questionnaire according to the Support Program, and, as a result, send a technical team of specialists to Tashkent to provide technical assistance to industry enterprises in April this year.
