Uztekstilprom Association and French Proparco financial institution discussed issues of direct and more profitable financing of textile projects in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uztekstilprom Association.
On March 3, a number of Uzbek enterprises met with the French Proparco at the Uzbek-Korean Textile Technology Park.
It is reported that the issues of direct and more profitable financing by the French side of projects of textile and garment-knitwear enterprises and clusters were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was joined by representatives of such Uzbek companies as Uzwoolentex, ART SOFT Holding, Quva textile, Aydarkul invest.
Following the meeting, the main directions of the allocation of funds by Proparco were determined and the mechanisms for their implementation were discussed. In case of interest in financing the projects with Proparco funds, the companies will contact the Financial and Economic Analysis Department of the Uztekstilprom Association.
Proparco is the financial arm of Agence Française de Développement (AFD) that finances the private sector.
Proparco plays a key role in the AFD Group and the French Cooperation Mechanism by financing and supporting projects led by companies and financial institutions in developing and developing countries - from small and medium enterprises to regional banking groups, including microfinance organizations.
