Iran issues licenses for establishment of industrial enterprises in Zanjan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 11

Iran issued licenses for setting up of 387 industrial enterprises in the Zanjan Province (western Iran) during the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Zanjan Province Nasser Faghfouri said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

Faghfouri noted that a total of 71.2 trillion rials (about $1.69 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises. After the launch of these enterprises, 8,540 people will be employed.

The chairman added that 213 of these enterprises will be setting up in Zanjan County, 51 in Abhar County, 37 in Khodabandeh County and the rest in other counties.

“So far, 2,930 enterprises have been licensed for setting up in Zanjan Province. About 614 trillion rials (about $14.6 billion) was to be spent on these enterprises and 100,000 people were to be employed in a result,” he said.

As reported, there are currently 1,140 industrial enterprises operating in the Zanjan Province and more than 44,000 people are working in these enterprises.
