BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. There are currently 101 inactive industrial enterprises in Iran’s Ardabil Province in the north-west of the country, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Ardabil Province Ramin Sadeghi said, Trend reports.
According to Sadeghi, of the mentioned number, the activity of 68 enterprises can be resumed.
Reportedly, the activity of enterprises Iran's Ardabil Province has been suspended mainly due to lack of funds, lack of raw materials, low liquidity.
The chairman added that it is planned to resume the activity of 40 enterprises in Ardabil Province for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).
“In total, there are 1,056 industrial enterprises in Ardabil. Of them, 91 percent is active and 9 percent is inactive,” he said.
Sadeghi also noted Iranian banks have started providing loans worth 3.6 trillion rials (about $85.7 million) to industrial enterprises in the province since the beginning of last year (March 21, 2022). About 80 percent of it has been provided so far, while 20 percent will be provided in the near future.
"Currently, the focus is on the resuming activity of enterprises for production of car spare parts, MDF, parquet production, clothing and textile production in Ardabil Province,” the official also pointed out.
At present, there are 851 industrial parks in Iran. Overall, 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 1 million people work there.
