BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Iran will launch 19 industrial enterprises in the Golestan Province, located in the northeast of the country, in a span of 10 days, starting from February 1 to February 11, 2024, said Darvishali Hassanzadeh, chairman of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the province, Trend reports.
These dates coincide with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which is celebrated as a national holiday.
Hassanzadeh noted that the construction of the mentioned enterprises cost 4.34 trillion rials (about $103 million).
He added that 266 people will be provided with jobs through the operation of these enterprises.
The chairman also said that the activity of 88 industrial enterprises in Golestan Province has been resumed since the current government took office (August 2021). In this regard, 22.4 trillion rials (about $534 million) were spent.
There are more than 650 industrial enterprises operating in 23 industrial parks in Golestan Province.
At present, there are 851 industrial parks in Iran. Overall, more than 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks, and more than 1 million people work there.
