Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / Tatarstan intends to construct a KAMAZ plant in Azerbaijan, said the First Deputy Head of Tatarstan's permanent representation in Azerbaijan, Ilham Shamilov, on 28 June during the first international Russian-Azerbaijani commercial and economic conference.
According to Shamilov, the Director General of the plant, Sergey Kogogina, is expected to visit Baku by the end of this year to discuss the issue with the Azerbaijani side.
The issue of opening a KAMAZ plant in Azerbaijan will be discussed in July at the second meeting of the Azerbaijani-Tatarstan Inter-Governmental Commission.
