The volumes of Iran's gas reserves will increase after implementation of a new gas augmentation plan, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Managing Director of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company Mehdi Fakour as saying.
"By installation of new equipments on gas wells, the volume of gas production will increase to 62.8 percent," he said.
Currently around 7 million cubic meters natural gas are produced daily in Iran's central gas fields while the explorations of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company seek to increase the production level to 11 million cubic meters per day.
He noted after installation of new equipments, the age of gas fields will increase to 25 years and the sweet gas production rise to 75 billion cubic meters.
