Tehran, Iran, May 31
Trend:
Iran's private sector is looking for marketing ways to sell the country's oil to small Asian refineries, an energy expert said.
"The private sector has showed tendency for crude oil sale in recent years, however it has not enter the field due to crude oil being offered at the Energy Exchange, transportation problems and money transferring issues," said Hamid Hosseini, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Small Asian refineries, according to Hosseini, are not so active on international scale, so Iran should work its way towards them, said the expert.
"Although, creating mechanism for the private sector to sell oil, requires time. While the government is facing difficulties regarding the oil sales, it is unlikely the private sector would be heavily involved," he said.
"The private sector would not take risk in the current situation due to lack of experience," Hosseini noted.
