BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 22. Data on the import of crude oil by Azerbaijan from Turkmenistan in January 2023 have been published, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, Azerbaijan imported 85,250 tons of crude oil (an increase of 2.77 times over the year) in the amount of $53.3 million, which is 3.11 times more than in January 2022.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
In 2022, Azerbaijan totally imported more than 352,700 tons of crude oil worth $245.1 million, which is 3.9 times more than in 2021.
