BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 25. Azerbaijan’s total crude oil and oil products’ exports exceeded 5.175 million tons worth almost $3.251 billion from January to February 2023, Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.
In terms of import volume, Italy came in first with 1.8 million tons worth $1.157 billion, followed by Israel with 528 972 tons worth $331.537 million and Spain with 425 844 tons worth $273.803 million.

In addition, railway lines traversing the length of Azerbaijan are also used to convey oil to the Batumi and Kulevi terminals located on the Black Sea along the coast of Georgia.There are three main oil pipelines transporting oil from Azerbaijan to its neighbors and on to world markets: Baku-Novorossiysk Pipeline, Baku-Supsa Pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Pipeline. Baku-Supsa is not operational at the moment due to the lack of nominations from shippers.
