Georgian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani Energy Ministers to Meet in Tbilisi

A meeting between the Energy Ministers of Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan is expected to be held in Tbilisi on December 8-9. The main topic of the forthcoming discussion will be an issue on supplying Georgia with additional volumes of gas produced from Azerbaijani gas condensate field Shahdaniz via the South Caucasian gas pipeline.

A source in the Georgian Energy Ministry told Trend Correspondent to Tbilisi that the meeting of the Energy Ministers had been scheduled during the visit of Georgian Prime-Minister Zurab Nogaideli to Baku on November 30.

After the visit to the Azerbaijani Capital, Mr. Nogaideli claimed that during the Tbilisi meeting, an issue of distributing gas produced from Shahdaniz would be clarified.
