The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan rose in 2021, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of the country (CBA).
According to the CBA, this figure amounted to 23.87 billion manat ($14.04 billion), up by over 3.5 billion manat ($2 billion) or 17.57 percent compared to 2020 (20.3 billion manat or $11.9 billion).
The cash money supply in circulation (M0) increased over the year by 170 million manat ($100 million) or 1.5 percent - from 10.77 billion manat or $6.34 billion (recorded in 2020) to 10.94 billion manat ($6.44 billion).
The expanded money supply (M3) grew by over 5.6 billion manat ($3.3 billion) or 18.7 percent, up to 34.64 billion manat ($20.38 billion) against 29.18 billion manat ($17.16 billion) a year earlier.
Besides, the money supply for transactions (M1) for the year increased by 3.22 billion manat ($1.93 billion) or 15.1 percent - from 17.86 billion manat ($10.51 billion) to 20.57 billion manat ($12.1 billion).
