BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Spending by foreign citizens through bank cards in Azerbaijan in February 2022 considerably grew, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
According to the center, this figure amounted to 186.5 million manat ($109.7 million), up by 161 million manat ($94.7 million) or 7.31 times on annual basis.
In the first two months of this year, foreigners spent 391.2 million manat ($230.1 million) in Azerbaijan through bank cards.
In January 2022, foreign citizens spent 204.7 million manat ($120.4 million) through bank cards in the country, which is 179.7 million manat ($105.7 million) or 8.18 times more than in the same month of 2021.
