BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Money supply (M2) in manat in Azerbaijan grew in August 2022, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA, this figure amounted to 26.9 billion manat ($15.8 billion), up by five billion manat ($2.9 billion) or 22.9 percent compared to last year’s August (21.9 billion manat or $12.8 billion).
The bank also said that in August this year, cash money in circulation (M0) increased by 1.17 billion manat ($690 million), or 10.74 percent - from 10.9 billion or $6.4 billion (recorded in the same month of 2021) to 12.16 billion manat ($7.15 billion).
Meanwhile, the expanded money supply (M3) rose by 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion, or 24.85 percent) - up to 39 billion manat ($22.9 billion), versus 31.28 billion manat ($18.4 billion) a year earlier.
Money supply for transactions (M1) grew by 4.1 billion manat ($2.4 billion or 21.76 percent) over the year - from 18.9 billion manat ($11.1 billion) to 23 billion manat ($13.5 billion).
